Update: The process of breaching the Elwha dams began on Sept. 17, 2011. Katie Campbell was there: All Eyes on the Elwha as Dam Removal Begins.

In September, removal of the Glines Canyon and Elwha Dams on the Elwha River will begin in Olympic National Park.
